Moving California fleets toward a cleaner future
GTS Group has officially delivered its first zero-emission Class 8 trucks to fleet customers through California’s Hybrid and Zero-Emission Truck and Bus Voucher Incentive Project (HVIP).
The milestone highlights GTS Group’s leadership in helping fleets transition to cleaner, more efficient vehicles—while taking advantage of state programs designed to reduce upfront costs and accelerate zero-emission adoption.
Making zero-emission trucks attainable
The HVIP program, funded by the California Air Resources Board (CARB), provides point-of-sale vouchers that lower the purchase price of zero-emission and hybrid trucks.
By guiding customers through the application process and coordinating directly with manufacturers, GTS Group helps ensure fleets can maximize available funding while meeting California’s increasingly strict emissions requirements.
“For many fleets, the cost of going electric has been the biggest barrier,” said a GTS Group representative. “HVIP changes that equation. Our customers are proving that clean power and commercial performance can go hand in hand.”
Real impact for fleet operators
The first HVIP-supported deliveries include battery-electric Class 8 tractors deployed for local and regional hauling across Southern California. These trucks will reduce emissions, cut operating costs, and support California’s broader effort to reach 100% zero-emission truck sales by 2045.
GTS Group continues to partner with fleet operators to evaluate duty cycles, charging needs, and financial pathways—ensuring every customer has a clear, practical roadmap toward zero-emission operations.
Continuing the mission
With several additional HVIP-funded deliveries scheduled in the coming months, GTS Group remains committed to driving real progress toward sustainable freight. Whether diesel, electric, or hydrogen, GTS Group helps fleets find the right truck—and the right incentive—to move their business forward.
